The ninth full-length studio outing from the New York death metal legends led by founding members Ross Dolan and Robert Vigna, the Nuclear Assault-issued Kingdom of Conspiracy is also Immolation's first foray into the conceptual realm. Working again with longtime producer Paul Orofino, the veteran rockers have crafted a hornet's nest of decibels that effortlessly blends proletarian musicality and simple, unadorned ferocity. Built around a series of political conspiracies, the album was inspired by author George Orwell's iconic 1949 dystopian masterpiece 1984, and the ten punishing tracks dutifully echo the novel's bleak miasma of social unrest and internal paranoia.
