Northern California pop-punk band the Story So Far deliver one of their toughest and tightest releases to date with their self-titled third album. The Story So Far features ten new songs dominated by the guitars of Kevin Geyer and Will Levy and Parker Cannon's lead vocals, ranging from the hard-edged charge of "Nerve" to the metal-inflected attack of "Mock," the math rock influences in the snap of "Distaste," and the quieter and contemplative tone of "Phantom." Already one of the better-known bands on the California punk scene, The Story So Far is a testimony to the band's continued creative growth and relentless pursuit of power and precision.
